We are pleased that we are now able to make referrals to a Clinical Hypnotherapist.
What is Hypnotherapy?
Clinical Hypnotherapy is completely natural and safe with no harmful side effects and is used by healthcare professionals all over the western world. It can be used to help anxiety, phobias, weight control, eating disorders, stopping smoking and much more.
In Clinical Hypnotherapy you remain in control and are able to hear and talk with your therapist. The actual experience is a pleasant state of relaxation, using an altered state of mind, so that guided by your therapist you may, by relaxed negotiation and agreement of both your conscious and unconscious mind, (the part that drives our emotional responses and tends to do things automatically ) make the lasting, beneficial change that you seek. You’re fully in control when under hypnosis and don’t have to take on the therapist’s suggestions if you don’t want to. If necessary, you can bring yourself out of the hypnotic state.
What can it help with?
It can be a useful therapy for the following:
Confidence Building and improving Self Esteem, Performance Anxiety, Stress Management, Sleep Disorders, Bruxism, Sports Performance, Bereavement issues, Anger Management, Work/Study Performance and Memory Recall, Phobias, Trauma and PTSD,
The NHS recognises it as a complementary therapy and the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has recognised hypnotherapy as a treatment for Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) in those who haven’t responded to other treatments
